About Harrodsburg Square Condominiums

Chalet Living Two Miles South of Downtown Lexington, Kentucky

Built in the mid 1970’s, Harrodsburg Square was originally an apartment complex.  Not long after the apartment complex was completed, the property owner began selling the 166 individual apartments as condominiums and the community was  converted to an HOA in 1980. The brown cedar siding of the community’s ten buildings and the large oak and maple trees surrounding the property give the owners a chalet feel only two miles from downtown Lexington.  All the condos have front and back decks / patios and the upper level units are graced with 20-foot vaulted ceilings.  Most kitchens are “walk-through galley” style; an efficiency design intended to leave square footage for the large dining rooms, living rooms, and bedrooms.

During the summer, the property boasts a large swimming pool with plenty of seating.  Off to the side of the pool, there is a shaded deck with patio furniture where co-owners and their guests often enjoy meals and beverages.  In March 2014, renovation completed on the 2,100 square foot clubhouse (added bathroom, new kitchen, new flooring, fresh paint, Wi-Fi internet connection, flat screen televisions, two sound systems, a billiards table, and a 50 sq ft dry erase "wall"). Co-owners now have an updated recreational space / business center to host parties and other events.
